Personal Bio:	Dr. McLawhorn was born in Brooklyn, New York. She is married to Melvin McLawhorn and they have three sons.  She is a fellow of the American college of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and member of the National Medical Association and North Carolina Medical Society Dr. McLawhorn clinical interests include high risk obstetrics, adolescent gynecology, laporoscopic surgery and minimally invasive surgical techniques.  When not practicing medicine Dr. McLawhorn enjoys digital photography, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her family. She is actively involved with Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated a public service organization and other community organizations.
