Dr. Hampton is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a member of the American Medical Association and the North Carolina Medical Society. He and his wife, Dr. Cynthia Hampton (Ophthalmologist at Four County Eye Associates) moved from Houston, Texas to Oxford in 1986 where they raised their four children who all graduated from the Granville County School System. They are the proud grandparents of one granddaughter who also lives in Oxford.

Dr. Hampton started a solo OB/Gyn practice in Oxford in 1986. His reputation and excellence in care helped grow the practice into what has now become Premier Women's Health Professionals consisting of 4 board certified/eligible OB/Gyn Physicians, 4 Certified Nurse Midwives, and a Women’s Nurse Practitioner with offices in Oxford, Henderson, and Louisburg.

Dr. Hampton has a broad range of experience and expertise in the management of OB/Gyn problems with a particular expertise in Minimally Invasive (Laparoscopic) Surgery.

When Dr. Hampton is not practicing medicine he especially enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.
