In response to a need for expanded medical care expressed by area residents during the strategic planning process, Granville Health System purchased the South Granville Primary Care practice and began operating the practice effective July 1, 2008.

The 3,300 sq. ft. primary care practice offers a full range of services, including laboratory and X-ray services. Hours for the practice, which is located at 317 Central Avenue in Butner, NC are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. by appointment. Some same-day appointments are available and new patients are welcome.

Joanne Fruth, MD, who is board certified in Family Practice and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians, serves as primary care physician. Dr. Fruth is assisted by David Lewis, PA-C at the practice. The full-time staff also includes an office manager, a patient coordinator and an x-ray technologist.
